If you make the decision to have a child, then you are making the decision to BE THERE for your child. Your child is not there for you, you are there for your child. Your child is not there to do what you say or what you want or what you need. Your child is not there for you, you need to be there for your child.
You have to be there for your child in good times and bad; you have to be there for your child to help them grow to be confident and independent; you have to be there for your child to help them learn and be respectful; you have to be there for your child whether you agree or disagree with their decisions, likes or dislikes; you have to be there for your child to make their life better, not to make your life better (although they most definitely will make your life better).
A child can be in this world to make a difference.
A child can be in this world to offer talent, intelligence, and/or thoughtfulness.
A child can be in this world for something bigger than we can ever imagine.
Don’t bring a child in this world to just be in this world. What if your child is the next person who can really change the world? What if your child is someone who can really offer others what no other person was able to offer others ever before?
These are the concerns or thinking we need to consider when we are raising our child. Only then can we create a human being everyone can be proud of in this world. We need leaders, not followers. We need strength, not weakness. We need love, not hate. We need to raise each child and be there for that child (no matter what) unconditionally.
